Welcome to THEi’s Ninth Graduation Exhibition for Department of Design & Architecture and Department of Digital Innovation & Technology in 2024
I would like to congratulate the graduation students on your exhibits at the ninth Graduation Exhibition jointly arranged by seven application-oriented programmes in Advertising, Fashion Design, Product Design, Landscape Architecture, Surveying, Multimedia Technology and Innovation, and Information Communication and Technology. The inspiring exhibition showcases the knowledge, skills, innovation and creativity of our graduation students. Your tireless dedication, hard work and unwavering commitment have contributed to the great success of the exhibition. I am proud to witness the milestone and achievements attained by the graduation students.
Synergy, the theme for this year’s Graduation Exhibition, refers to the combined power of a group of things or persons when they are working together that is greater than the total power achieved by each working separately. With the aim of further improving the appeal of its programmes and establishing a stronger position in the self-financing higher education sector, THEi underwent a comprehensive review of its governance structure in 2023. As a result, the three faculties have been replaced by six academic departments, each with a focus on reinforcing its academic niche. In this joint exhibition, the collaboration among seven programmes would enable students to master interdisciplinary leadership, adapt to dynamic business landscapes, and obtain practical, versatile knowledge applicable to a wide spectrum of industries.
Life after your graduation is the grand stage where you will step outside your comfort zone on campus into the spotlight of the professional world. Armed with knowledge, skills and innovation you learned from your studies at THEi, you will embark on a journey of endless possibilities, weaving your dreams into realities. You are, however, not going to get very far in life based on what you have already learned. You have to advance your career by what you are going to learn after you leave THEi. More importantly, you need to harness synergy by learning effective teamwork with professionals with different background, disciplines, expertise and characters.
