The concept is influenced by male gazes within feminist theory. Throughout human history, women are expected to look attractive in order to satisfy men’s desires and fulfill the contemporary standard of beauty. This collection shows how patriarchy is deeply rooted in modern society, controlling the minds and actions of women. Based on my personal experience, women are often stared at by men with unfriendly attitudes and gazes. “Eyes on Me” has dual meanings, “I am my protagonist, so pay attention to me” whereas at the same time, “there are a lot of malicious gazes on me”.
