As urban street culture in Mong Kok has already faded over time, especially the two character streets, one with a vogue ambiance (Sneaker street) and the other with crude charm (Ladies market).The aim of this project is to preserve distinctive urban street culture of the two character streets by introducing a cultural link and cultural integration based on the features and cultures of the two character street. By doing so to hopefully promote distinctive street culture of the two character street.
And by introducing part-time pedestrian streets, so to attract artist to organize street performance and encourage locals to join and interact with the community, thus to bring back street performance culture. Moreover, by integrating urban greening initiatives into the streetscape and introducing public spaces so to hopefully mitigate the Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect and provide a better urban life to locals.
隨著時間的推移，旺角的城市街頭逐漸消失，尤其是兩條具有特色的街道，一條是具有時尚氛圍的球鞋街，另一條是具有粗獷魅力的女人街。本項目的目的是通過基於這兩條特色街道的特點和文化，創建文化連結和文化融合來保育和推廣這些獨特的城市街頭文化。
此外，通過引入行人專用區，吸引藝術家組織街頭表演，並鼓勵當地居民參與社區互動，從而恢復街頭表演文化。再者，通過在街景中融入城市綠化的措施和引入公共空間，希望能減輕城市熱島效應，並為當地居民提供良好的城市生活。
