This project aimed to restore rivers and implement a sustainable drainage system in Kowloon. It recognized the crucial role of rivers in providing freshwater, supporting ecosystems, and enhancing community well-being. The project addressed the adverse effects of urbanization on rivers, such as burial and loss of natural shorelines. Through research and comprehensive analysis, the project identified potential design areas for the implementation of a sustainable drainage system. The outcome was a roadmap for policymakers and urban planners, providing practical strategies for creating a sustainable city where rivers thrive, water resources are optimized, and urban environments coexist harmoniously with nature.
