Hi everyone, I'm Tsai Ching Yi, or Hedy. My major is Digital Advertising, I'm passionate about AI technology and constantly follow its latest trends. I aim to combine my digital advertising skills with my enthusiasm for AI to create compelling content and marketing campaigns for brands. I am a detail-oriented, communicative, and responsible person. I have managed various digital projects and excelled in teamwork.
This project, titled “Carousell Safety Evolution”, aims to enhance the security mechanisms of Carousell, Hong Kong’s most popular online auction and second-hand trading platform. Carousell supports both C2C (customer-to-customer) and B2C (business-to-customer) transactions and is widely used by Hong Kong citizens. However, with the rapid development of AI technology, scam incidents on the platform have increased significantly, including sophisticated methods such as deepfake fraud. This has caused growing concern among buyers and sellers regarding transaction safety. The project seeks to address these pain points by implementing multiple security measures to rebuild user confidence and improve overall user experience.
The target audience is Carousell users aged 20-35 who frequently shop online and enjoy purchasing collectibles or limited editions. The main objective is to alert users about recent scam trends while reassuring them through various innovative safety features. Key unique selling points include AI detection technology, enhanced platform payment functions, buyer protection programs, Carousell certified badges, official partner courier services, real-time alerts and educational content, and collaboration with law enforcement agencies. These measures are designed to effectively reduce fraud risks and create a more secure, convenient, and trustworthy trading environment. Through this project, we expect to significantly boost user retention and enhance Carousell’s reputation, injecting new vitality into Hong Kong’s second-hand trading ecosystem.
