Congratulations to the graduating students of the Department of Digital Innovation and Technology, including those from the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Multimedia Technology and Innovation, the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Information and Communications Technology, and the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Cinematic Arts and Technology.

This year marks the 11th occasion of the Graduation Exhibition, the first milestone since the 10th anniversary’s celebration last year. It symbolizes an important chapter in the history of THEi, and possibly the finale before THEi is evolved into a university. At the same time, we are living in a new era where Artificial Intelligence presents to us both as an opportunity and challenge, especially for students in the field of Information Technology and the Creative Industry. As can be seen in many of the final year projects, our students have the ability to master AI tools to enhance productivity, without undermining creativity and innovation. 

This year, students from Multimedia Technology and Innovation have produced impressive projects which include exciting video games, multimedia art, and even an installation with a reprogrammed vending machine. Students from Information and Communications Technology have created IT systems, empowered by AI, for real-life solutions in cybersecurity, education, mental health awareness, etc., which showed their care to society. Our talented students from Cinematic Arts and Technology also demonstrated great techniques and creativity through their works, with some of them taking the difficult challenge of making videos of science fiction.   

I am very proud of your achievements. It is time to celebrate before moving on.
