This project outlines a revolutionary master plan to revamp the Tsiu Keng Agricultural Park into a new generation sustainable agriculture park called the “Agricultural Village,” which is located in Kwu Tung South. This design serves as a pivotal model for the urban-rural integration prototype due to its unique positioning between rural identity and urban future Northern Metropolis development in Hong Kong.

First, the design is an intermediary between land preservation and advanced agronomic design and it is a organic farming, where structurally the design includes three agricultural cultivation models: traditional soil cultivation, innovative low-maintenance multi-layered food forest, and state-of-the-art indoor vertical farming, hydroponics, and aquaponics. The village will house 2,000 residents and researchers in their place of work. Through agricultural output sufficient to provide more than 55,000 surrounding city dwellers’ food and increasing the local production in Hong Kong by 43%.

本計畫概述了一項革命性的總體規劃，旨在將位於鼓塘南的兆坑農業園區改造為新一代永續農業園區—「農業村」。本設計有其獨特的定位，「農業村」坐落於傳統鄉村與未來香港北部都會區之間，將會成為城鄉融合的典範。

首先，本設計融合了土地保護與先進農藝設計，並採用有機耕作模式。其結構設計包含三種農業耕作模式：傳統土壤耕作、創新低維護多層食物森林，以及最先進的室內垂直農業、水耕和魚菜共生系統。該農業村將容納2000名居民和研究人員在此工作。其農業產出足以滿足週邊超過55,000名城市居民的糧食需求，並使香港本地糧食產量提高43%。
