PREVIO: Connected Healthcare Support Ecosystem for Animal Shelters

I am a Product Design student interested in designing products that improve everyday experiences and create meaningful connections. My work explores a wide range of topics, from daily-use products and creative objects to solutions that support emotional well-being and human-animal relationships. Guided by empathy and observation, I enjoy identifying unmet needs and translating them into thoughtful design opportunities. I believe good design should combine functionality, aesthetics, and genuine user understanding to create experiences that are both practical and meaningful.
PREVIO is an integrated product-service ecosystem created to improve healthcare workflows in high-volume animal shelters. It reduces operational overload and replaces fragmented manual record-keeping by connecting digital health data with everyday caregiving. The system includes a lightweight Smart Health-Tracking Sensor for continuous, non-invasive monitoring of vital signs, a modular Smart Medical Station that acts as a centralized dashboard, and an expandable Medication Pager System with light and vibration alerts. By combining real-time physiological monitoring with automated medication scheduling, PREVIO supports early illness detection, reduces dosage errors, improves coordination among rotating staff and volunteers, and enables proactive, preventive, data-driven animal care.
PREVIO 是一套專為動物收容所而設計的智慧醫療支援系統，旨在改善收容所中因人手短缺、工作繁忙及資訊分散所衍生之照護問題。現時許多收容所仍依賴人工觀察、紙本記錄及照護者記憶管理動物健康與藥物流程，因此細微的健康異常往往容易被忽略，亦增加了藥物管理上的錯誤風險。
本項目由三個互相連接的產品組成，包括智慧健康追蹤感測器、智慧醫療工作站及藥物提示裝置系統。感測器可持續監測動物心率、體溫及活動狀態，並建立個別健康基準；智慧醫療工作站作為中央管理平台，負責整合健康資訊及藥物流程；藥物提示裝置系統則協助照護者快速及準確地取出對應藥物。
