The setting is a fictional world inspired by the feudal Middle Ages, a time when witch hunts were rife. A human girl born with heterochromia is viewed by ignorant villagers as a harbinger of disaster, becoming the scapegoat for all misfortune. Hunted by the villagers, the girl flees into a gloomy forest graveyard and, in her desperation, pleads for help from a mysterious witch.
