Battle of Wu Xing is a 2.5D single-player action-fighting game that reimagines the Chinese Wu Xing philosophy as a core gameplay system rather than a surface-level aesthetic. Addressing the common limitation of commercial titles that underutilize elemental theory, the project embeds the cycles of generation and restraint directly into combat mechanics, creating a dynamic system where players must strategically switch elements in real time to gain advantage.
The game features a polymorphic AI architecture built on abstract inheritance, enabling diverse and adaptive enemy behaviors. A distinctive Dual-Resource System—Will and Endurance—adds tactical depth by balancing offensive capabilities and survivability. Combat is further enriched through long-range magical projectile clashes and real-time elemental countering.
Set within an immersive dark-folklore world enhanced by custom 3D visual effects, the game delivers a cohesive experience that integrates cultural philosophy, responsive combat design, and atmospheric storytelling. Iterative playtesting and user feedback were conducted to refine combat balance and player experience.
《五行之戰》是一款2.5D單人動作格鬥遊戲,旨在將中國傳統五行哲學由表層視覺元素轉化為核心玩法機制。針對現今多數商業遊戲未能充分運用五行理論的限制,本項目將「相生相剋」的循環規律深度融入戰鬥系統,玩家需在實時戰鬥中靈活切換元素,以建立策略優勢,提升戰術層次。
本遊戲透過抽象繼承實現多型(Polymorphism)AI架構,使敵人具備多樣且具適應性的行為模式。核心設計包括結合「意志」與「耐力」的雙資源系統,在攻防之間建立平衡,並透過遠距離魔法彈幕對撞與元素克制機制,強化戰鬥的節奏與深度。
遊戲背景設定於融合暗黑民俗風格的沉浸式世界,搭配自製3D視覺特效,營造獨特氛圍。透過反覆玩家測試與問卷回饋,持續優化戰鬥機制與整體遊玩體驗,使文化概念、系統設計與感官表現達致統一。
