Bondage of love

Social media’s scrutinizing gaze mirrors 18th-century Bethlehem Hospital—a facade of rational charity hiding constraint and voyeurism. Paternalistic aesthetics shackle the body, while online judgment hijacks the self. Inspired by this, I created a counter-cultural fashion series using deconstructed designs to interpret digital-age surveillance, discipline, and resistance. An immersive runway pierces virtual violence, asking: under collective judgment, who is the outcast, who the madman? Constraint coexists with deconstruction—constraint is the past, liberation the stance. Breaking free from singular aesthetics and public opinion, this work completes a reverse escape of self-awareness.
