"I’m King King Yu, a graduate of the Thei product design program. From sketches to prototypes, I’ve loved every messy step of the process. I’m especially grateful to my professors and to the late nights in the studio with my classmates—especially on the days when my brain couldn’t come up with anything useful. My graduation project focused on a protective makeup case and a repair kit. Next, I’m hoping to start my career in the design industry. Keep thinking, keep creating, and have fun. "
Makeup is an important tool for self-expression, identity, and confidence, in both social and professional contexts. However, frequent travelers often face challenges with traditional cosmetics. Rough luggage handling, turbulence, and limited space frequently result in damaged products, leading to waste and frustration. Many also struggle to organize and access makeup in small hotel environments.
This innovative product addresses these challenges with a durable, shockproof portable case with a compact, user-friendly cosmetic repair device. Together, they protect fragile items such as pressed powder, foundation, and lip products, while enabling quick.on-the-go repairs.
Designed for professional on the move , it reduces waste, promotes sustainability, and helps users maintain their apperance and confidence wnenever they are.
