My Major Design Project is an interactive home device for elderly people living alone, especially those who experiencing reduced mobility and social connection after retirement, illness, or surgery. Research through hospital visits and user observation showed that their challenges extend beyond loneliness to include loss of daily rhythm, confidence, and social participation My design aims to transform passive time at home into a more meaningful and engaging experience. It integrates emotional support, light exercise, and simple communication through familiar daily activities such as planting, pet care, and household tasks. With intuitive interaction, gentle feedback, and accessible physical movements, the design helps older adults regain a sense of companionship, control, and initiative, while enabling family members to monitor subtle changes in their wellbeing.

我的畢業設計項目是一款為獨居長者而設的互動式家居產品，主要關注他們在退休、手術或患病之後，因身體機能下降而逐漸減少外出，影響社交及日常參與的情況。透過醫院探訪、觀察及研究，我發現他們面對的問題不僅是孤獨，更包括生活節奏的喪失、對身體能力的信心降低，以及在日常生活中逐漸失去主動性。我的設計希望將長者在家中「被動等待」的狀態，轉化為更具參與感和有意義的日常體驗。產品結合情感陪伴、輕度運動和簡單溝通功能，並以種植、照顧寵物及模擬家務等熟悉的活動作為互動內容，讓長者能以自然、輕鬆的方式重新建立參與感、連結感以及對生活的掌控感。
