BA (Hons) in Landscape Architecture
A collaborative Landscape Architecture graduate with a practical foundation in spatial design and multi-disciplinary coordination. Through hands-on internship experiences, I have valued the opportunity to communicate directly with diverse clients, learning to listen closely to their needs and translate their ideas into real-world setups. I genuinely enjoy collaborating with clients, design consultants, and site crews, and look forward to bringing an approachable, detail-oriented approach to a professional team.
Concept Statement
Lamma Island’s Pak Kok Village is chosen as a living laboratory to develop a practical model of intergenerational co-living that addresses three major social challenges in Hong Kong: elderly loneliness, the severe housing shortage, and unaffordable high rents for young people.
By revitalizing underutilized village lands and vacant buildings in this quiet, lesser-known corner of the island, the project creates a tight-knit, mixed-generational community. Young people and seniors live together in balanced ratios, supported by shared gardens, communal spaces, and daily interactions that foster natural connection and provide affordable housing in a low-density, relaxed environment.
The Vision:
To transform Pak Kok Village into a vibrant and cohesive intergenerational community — a place where loneliness is reduced through spontaneous daily encounters, where innovative shared housing models make living more affordable for young people, and where community restoration and ecological sensitivity are achieved together.
This project aims to create a replicable model that can serve as a useful reference for tackling aging societies, housing difficulties, and social disconnection in Hong Kong and cities around the world.
