"I'm Yann, a final-year Landscape Architecture student at THEi with a passion for ecological and community-focused design. My graduation project Tidal Weaving, reimagines the relationship between water, landscape, and local culture in Tai O. Through adaptive design strategies, I aim to create resilient public spaces that support both environmental sustainability and community identity.

Tidal Weaving explores how landscape architecture can strengthen the resilience of Tai O, one of Hong Kong’s most distinctive fishing villages. The project responds to challenges including ecological degradation, fragmented public spaces, cultural change, and climate-related flooding. Through mangrove restoration, improved community spaces, and adaptive waterfront design, the proposal reconnects ecology, culture, and everyday life. Rather than preserving Tai O as a static heritage site, the project envisions it as a living cultural landscape that can adapt to environmental change while maintaining its unique identity and community character.
