Indeed, I’m a huge fan of animation. ‘Miss Witch’ is an original character of mine, though I don’t have a fully developed world for her yet. When I decided to make an animation, I started thinking about what elements to include. As expected, I still prefer classic Western fantasy and magic-related elements. The production process was a real struggle >< Independent animation is so incredibly tough—! But it was really interesting to gradually refine my story as I went along!! In the future, I would like to explore visual art across a wider range of media.
The setting is a fictional world inspired by the feudal Middle Ages, a time when witch hunts were rife. A human girl born with heterochromia is viewed by ignorant villagers as a harbinger of disaster, becoming the scapegoat for all misfortune. Hunted by the villagers, the girl flees into a gloomy forest graveyard and, in her desperation, pleads for help from a mysterious witch. The witch gazed upon the girl’s face; after a moment’s thought, she summoned thorny vines to brutally strangle the villagers…
故事的世界觀是設定在盛行獵巫的封建中世紀架空時代。天生異色瞳的人類女孩被無知的村民視為災星，成為了一切不幸的代罪羔羊。被村民追殺的女孩，逃入了一處幽暗的森林墓地，並在絕望中向一名神祕的魔女求救。魔女凝視著女孩的臉龐，短暫思索後，召喚出帶刺的藤蔓將村民殘忍絞殺。
女孩做了一個噩夢，她在魔女的小屋中驚醒，魔女溫柔地安撫她繼續休息。然而，這份溫柔背後卻隱藏著一段血色的過去：魔女曾親眼目睹自己的女兒被村民綁在十字架上活活燒死。這場悲劇徹底扭曲了魔女的母愛，讓她多年來潛心研究禁忌的復活魔法。
